Instakill resistance?

I've been surprised to find such thing on the latest character sheet. How does that work? Clearly I had characters being instagibbed in the latest version, so it's not as explicit as it is...

It blocks the few talents that can kill without doing lethal damage first.

So stuff like swallow, haymaker etc that can kill if below x% health.
