great game

What a game.

There is a point in the game where I had 500 turns to do something, and I only figured out quite a bit later that I wasn't supposed to face a lot of orcs... when not on ASCII, it was not easy to see there is another way to go, and since there is an unending number of orcs, autoexplore (what a great feature!) did not work.

I'm sure there's still a lot of lore I did't find, but this game is VERY rich in flavor, and if you wrote it in book form, it could very well rival some of the best fantasy books.

I like it that the game have different starting positions depending on your race/class.

You got to charred scar. First time I got there I also didn't read the initial dialog carefully enough. I haven't been there recently, but the Sun Paladins could perhaps shout at you to chase south or something.

And yes the lore is available (dunno how up to date) in ebook format, and the Garkul and orc stories are very vivid and gripping reading.

I'll put together an updated ebook sometime soon - the last version is missing a lot of stuff.

I thought the Paladins do say something like "We'll hold the line, you go on." So why would you just stay there?

How do you see enemies coming in large numbers at friendly allies, and NOT stay and help them?

...........and if you don't buy that, EXPERIENCE!!!
