Tome 4 on Ubuntu on Android?

Has anyone tried running the Linux version of Tome from within Android on a tablet? Assuming a sufficiently powerful tablet (i.e. one of the new quad-core ones), is there any reason in principle why this would not work?

Stumbled upon this by looking at what sites refer to ToME Android and while the thread is rather old it's still unanswered and I'm bored, so here goes.

In theory it might be possible to compile it from source, but the Ubuntu version won't run on Android even if you had Ubuntu running on your phone or tablet, because they use different processor architecture.

Few weeks back I toyed with the idea of compiling ToME for Raspberry Pi computer but it lacks the power do compiling, even if successful, would take a few days at least. While I could compile it on my desktop computer for Raspberry the new problem was getting the raspberry development environment to run on my computer. Hardly not a task for a pro but for me it was too much trouble to hassle with.

I asked on the forums if someone would have internet in compiling it but I think it was DG even said the power requirement might be a bit steep.

You already knew this part but in case someone else runs into this thread it's worth mentioning that someone is working on both iOS and Android versions of the game.
