ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

This is the longest-lived character I've had yet - a Shaloren Archmage - so it's rather annoying that it's gone. (I considered filing a bug report but I figured I didn't have any info that could be used to solve the issue. All I know is that I 'bought' a fourth runefusion slot with a talent point, then I had a hotkey button labeled 'missing', and then my orb was gone.)

Anyways. Any way I can get another? If not, can I at least visit Elisa and talk to her in person? (What town?)

Has it disappeared from your inventory? (The plot items tab along with the Rod of Recall and alchemist quest items) If not, you can drag it to the hotkey bar to give it a new key.

Check your inventory (under the 'all' tab). If there is a "orb of scrying" (IIRC) there, you can re-hotkey it by pressing the hotkey while having your mouse hovering over it. If that isn't the problem, we may need more detail.

Yeah, it's not in my inventory. I don't have any more detail to give, except that I was in the halfling labs or watchacallem, where you find the Yeek, when I noticed it missing. Also that I had some identified items in my transmog chest when I noticed it gone, so I must have lost it on that level.

hmm, did you drop it (is that possible?)? There is not supposed to be any way to lose, it, so there is no way to regain its functionality in-game. You can fix it using the cheat console, following these directions :http://te4.org/wiki/t4modules-debugging.

Thanks for that link, but what do I type in the Lua console to add an Orb of Scrying to my guy? (I have a basic knowledge of coding, but not Lua, and certainly not the variables I need to call.)

Use the menu instead (though you may need to keybind it). There is an option like "create item", use it to get the orb of scrying.

Forgot there was another option. Didn't even register in my mind that "dialog"=="GUI"
