Autoexplore with rest first?

All,
I know it has shown up in a few threads before, but is there any way that I'm missing to automate resting before autoexplore?
This would be a little bit like a macro---changing 'z' to 'r' then 'z'.
I've read a sentiment that pushing r first isn't a big deal, but I find that keystroke obvious, required, and tedious for no good reason I can discern. I also understand and do not dispute that some classes wouldn't want this and that making it a default behavior would be a bad idea.
Not sure about others, but in the process of having my characters killed off, I push z quite a few times.
Perhaps there is an easy solution that I've been missing?
