ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi, new player here with some questions about certain summoner talents.

First of all, this game has progressed a lot since I first heard of it (about a year ago) and has rightly won the top spot for roguelike of the year. Well done to the developers!

On to my questions:

Grand Arrival: What does additional talent investment (above the single point) offers? From what I can tell, it only serves to increase the radius of the effects, but I might be mistaken.

Detonate: Same as above, what do additional points get me? Also, does anybody know where I can find the full descriptions of the effects? (I'm not a programmer but I can read some code)

Wild summon: Again, where can I get more detailed descriptions of the various abilities?

Resilience: 'Improves your summons' lifetime and CON'-by how much?

I know that there is little chance that anybody would know the answers out of hand, but if you could point me to where I could find those abilities in the code, or, better yet, if you could post the code here, I could figure them out myself.

Right, I managed to find my way to the code and this is what I found:

Grand Arrival: Additional points in this talent do increase its effects (substantially so). The effects also scale with WIL, but not with the level of the actual summon talent (eg, the effect of Grand Arrival will be the same for a fully-maxed Hydra compared with a Hydra with only one talent point).

Detonate: Same mechanism as above - effects scale with talent points and Summoner WIL, not with the level of the actual summon talent.

Resilience: Improves lifetime by 1 turn and CON of summon by 2 for each talent point.

First, welcome and a happy new year. I think you managed to answer most of your questions and they sound right, although you might want to file a bug report suggesting the descriptions be more explicit and give an example of what would be clearer to you. Cheers!
