ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi, I am a dwarf berserker. I spent a category point to unlock the harmony talent tree and learned the skill water of life.

However I cannot use it. The skill at the panel was always white, even when I was poisoned! Is that a bug? My current version is 35.

BTW, any advices how to fight against invisible units like banshee or dreads? I can crush any enemies but have no way to attack units which are invisible forever! These units can not be detected by arcane eyes or any thing else and I always miss them when I attack. Seems only AOE can damage them but I don't have any except throw stones!

The bug's reported, and is fixed for next version, I think...

For the banshee and stuff...try to find equipments that grants high level of see invisible?

Wouldn't help, they're not invisible. They're perma-stealthed. I think it's a cunning vs. stealth power check, iirc. Something like that.

Anything that auto-hits (spells, etc.) is good. Perfect strikes helps tremendously. Just keeping some accuracy boosting swap-in kit in yer inventory to, well, swap in vs hard to hit stuff, is a good idea. Not just for ghosts, but in general. Probably other stuff, but just woke up, too tired to think.

Check the 'worst enemy' thread. There is a fairly big discussion on the ghosts near the current end of it.

In which skill tree can I find patience?

That would be under the Wisdom/Life Experiences tree.

Dang, i never got around to unlocking that one!

You're supposed to be able to unlock it at level 18 but it takes much longer to get good at it.

You have to unlock the Education tree to take full advantage of it though.

I unlocked the Life Experiences tree a while ago, but I don't have any talent points to put into it. I spent too many points already in the Procrastination tree, and I figured that I'd get around to improving the Life Experiences tree eventually. Besides, I hear that the Patience skill is bugged and doesn't actually work right now.

It only bugs when you put points into Avoidance in the Procrastination tree...you didn't do that did you?

I'll unlock the Procrastination tree... later.

I had to. It was a prerequisite to the Believable Excuse talent, and that's the best skill in the tree.

Oh man, that also puts the deferred degree debuff on you though.
