Subject Z; Reaching new levels of ridiculousness

Situation; Yeek Archmage 16, equipped with Flame 5, Fireshock 5, Manathrust 5, Freeze 4, Displacement Shield 4, and a Movement Infusion. Recalled out of the ruins to return later. Returned later, entering through the main door into the boss chamber.

Movement Infusion before entering the door; made one step around the Yeek Wayist, so I could launch freeze onto Z. Then Displacement Shield. Then Phase Door Wayist away. Fireshock. And then HE BROKE OUT OF THE AS OF THEN ALMOST UNSCRATCHED ICE CAGE (some 180 points, maybe?), SOMEHOW IMMEDIATELY APPEARED NEXT TO ME (I was a few squares away), AND THEN DECIMATED MY WHOLE 250 HP. Everything in one turn (at least from my perspective). This was my probably gazillionth attempt at it.

I give up. There is no force that can defeat something that ignores all protections and stuns and then one-hit kills.

(oh, also, during the battle: Lua Error: /data/talents/psionic/focus.lua:39, attempt to compare number with nil, multiple dozens of times per move. That MAY have something to do with it, though Z wasn't doable before 35 either.)

Hes pretty badass, that's why we all love him. :o

The latter stuff was probably shadowstep to close up on you, deal damage and daze you, then finished you off. :?

Better luck for the next 30 tries!

Well, I certainly don't. :D
Lemme kill that <expletives censored> nice guy. :<

Does he have some upper limit with regards to level scaling? I could probably do all second-tier dungeons and then return. I'd be some 25 or more by then, I guess.

I did it! :D

Level 20, Essence of Speed 5, Quickened 5, Manathrust 5, Flame 5, Fireshock 5, Fireflash 3, Phase Door 5, Heal 4, Arcane Shield 1, Time Prison 1, Heal Rune 160, Movement Infusion 550%, Rod of Annulment (not sure it did anything...). A total global speed of roughly 173%.

Movement Infusion before entering, just to be sure to get the first move.
Time Prison.
Phase Door Wayist away.
Walk away a bit.
Launch all offensives once possible, walk away around a corner.
Blast again.
That was enough. :D

Indeed, though I'm curious if a Temp Warden could do Subject Z while saving Wayist at the same or lower level than that mage.

Killed him at lvl 13 Temporal Warden. IMHO Subject Z is more easy to kill at lower level, his scaling with lvl is stong. After Swap failed DimStep between him and Waist and Flurry, Dual Strike, hit-hit-hit... Main hand crooked club, off-hand dagger with slime. He was slowed&confused.

Oh, Crooked Club. So a 1 in 7 chance of Ridiculously Long Confusion on the first hit. Or actually a bit higher, since you opened with Flurry...? 3 chances to trigger Ridiculously Long Confusion.

Heh. Since confusion is ludicrously overpowered and kills virtually all my characters, it's only fair that it should be a weapon of choice against Z.
