ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hey folks,

Been playing Tome4 off and on and I have to say, first off, it's awesome.

I had an issue crop up after downloading b31, however. All my saves are missing from the 'load game' screen. If I go back to b30 it works just fine, and they are all still there. I searched and looked around a bit and didn't find anyone else posting the same, so I assume this is some client/user error. Please enlighten me!

Well your saves are there they're just b30 saves. For the time being saves from one beta are not compatible with saves from another beta.

Gotcha - I went from 29 to 30 without any issue and thus just assumed that was the norm! I dug around some more after submitting this topic and discovered that characters don't necessarily move from one to another.

There's not many differences between b30 and b31. You can edit your save 'desc' and change version to ".31". It should work fine but it's always safer to start a new toon.
