[svn 3212] Huge Castle Vault

I don't know if this belongs here or in Bugs.
Anyway, on Old Forest(5) there was this humongous castle vault which took up most of the level. There were a few npc's in the "bridge" area at the entrance to the vault, which all drowned while I escaped by teleport. After that, I dug all the way around the perimeter, outside the line of trees that blocked the moat and there was, quite literally, nothing else there except for the stairs to Lake Nur.

There was no path around the vault either. No way to bypass the vault without drowning in the moat, except for digging out the trees.

In particular, No Wrathroot. At least he wasn't outside the vault. So that's a bug, I guess

I don't know if he was inside the vault, because I ended up dead to a minotaur who confused me *AFTER* I did a phase door spell but *BEFORE* the spell moved me. I don't know if that's a bug or intentional. I hope it's a bug because if not it suuuuuuucks.

Ok, never mind about the phase door failure, it was supposed to be that way. On looking at the code, it is possible to teleport from inside the vault *TO THE OUTSIDE* but not *INSIDE* the vault or *INTO* the vault from outside. Now I know.

My level 17 Berserker found this Bandit Fortress on Old Forest level 4, and after a valiant stand at one of the 4 entrance doors ran around the vault to the North, where he reached dry land with about 20 air left. Needed to clear my landing zone though, but at level 17, that wasn't a problem.

Wrathroot is deeper than level 5......

In svn, the "starter" dungeons have all been reduced by two levels, so trollmire and korpul are 3 levels each and old forest, maze, sandhole, and daikara are five.

Found this castle too; looted most of it, but there are a few areas I can't reach. Any tips (I guess you'd have to pm me, or post in spoilers) :)
