I find myself having significantly less time available to play, and I want every oppertunity to play my precious characters... Is there a way I can load the game on my USB stick, and play whereever I am?

OMG that would rock hardcore! (so far the only solution i know of is to manually copy the profile folders from your \T-Engine directory in "documents and settings".)

Ya, there is - I do it all the time. You just copy your t-engine folder from your c drive [windows] along with the folder with the .exe - load the game normally on whatever device you are using and it should run [aka another computer]

So one just need to copy the T-Engine folder into the \TOME folder? OMW and I sat the whole afternoon trying to get "portableapps.com"'s launcher to get started (I did get it to run)...
So does the folder in the TOME folder take precedence to the one in the Doc & settings folder?

No no no no no - they need to be 2 seperate folders still in whatever portable device you are using. once you run t-engine it will replicate the t-engine folder you have copied [which is is suppose to do] but the game won't open unless you HAVE t-engine folder to begin with.

Ok lets say for instance the portable device is drive D:\ (assuming vista or 7, with XP it must be C:\Documents and Settings\myname)
Is it:
Code: Select all
D:\
-> TomePortable
+-> T-Engine (copied/moved from C:\users\myname\T-Engine)
Or is it:
Code: Select all
D:\
-> TomePortable
-> T-Engine (copied/moved from C:\users\myname\T-Engine)

Are you sure? It seems to me that it automatically creates a new one in C:\users\myname\T-Engine.

Something may have changed but I definitively remember prior to ... I think beta 8 I HAD to have both the t-engine folder and the .exe folder both for it to boot properly, and then it would just make a new t-engine folder in whatever computer I was using then.
So, the first one prior to beta8 - after that you might not need the t-engine folder itself anymore - but if you want to play your save games over multiple machines you need to copy the saves, which are in your t-engine folder.
