Online Profile...whats the point?

Whats the point in online profiles? They're supposed to make it so you dont have to copy saves/achievements between computers, but, in my case, that totally does not work. Unlocked archmage earlier today on one computer, which you can see at http://te4.org/users/sradac
Im on my laptop now, and I dont have the option to make mages here. I have logged in/out of profile on this computer, ran update, restarted ToME several times, still no archmage available. Really dont feel I should have to re-install tome just for this feature thats supposed to be so great actually work.

Is there is profile directory inside your home/T-Engine/4.0/tome/ folder by any chance ? (on the computer where it does not work)

dosent look like it, its just character-dumps and save under that directory. Will a re-install fix that or do I need to do something else?

wilder_summoner = true
undead = true
__uuid = "ef9fb5fd-bebb-4af0-93bd-1c790b594823"
undead_skeleton = true
tutorial_done = true

looks like its not syncing with my online profile and updating itself?

file is NOT read only if thats what you mean by writable

I had the same issue on my machine when I unlocked some stuff at work and then could not play them at home on beta 16. I then ran beta 13 and had no issue using anything I had unlocked anywhere. I then went back into beta 16 and was also able to use all of the unlocks. It seems there is a bug in beta 16 that is not updating allow_build.profile. The beta 13 did update the file for me.

In windows vista and 7, if you place your ToME files inside the "Program Files" directory, you need to run ToME as an Administrator in order to get permission to write in the program files directory.
