Is this just me or does eveyone screw up this much

Something I noticed:

I went into a potion shop to buy some more healing potions and while the window to select the amount was up I somehow ended up selling my good plate armor (was saving till I level up and boost my STR to wear it) it also sold for a puny amount and I couldn't afford to buy it back. I think you need a better store system. It doesn't make sense to sell things at such a low cost (when they cost soooo much more to buy) and maybe a 'confirmation before you sell' window could pop up before it gets sold.

A warning that I'm entering a dungeon that is beyond my characters skills would be nice too, I found a secret trapdoor while wandering around the plains and decided to help whoever was screaming inside, BIG mistake! After 4 steps I was suddenly surrounded by villians I didn't stand a chance in beating.

I've died 10+ times now but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

10 time is nothing ;)

Yes the stores need a confirmation prompt, but the 10% sell value is there to stay mostly :)

I've seen the "sell and sell again" thing too. I suspect it has something to do with releasing the mouse button too slowly, or wiggling the mouse at just the wrong moment, so the game receives two mouse-up events instead of one. I'd prefer a keyboard interface to shopping, but it's not obvious (to me) how, or whether, you can use the keyboard for this.

I figured out what I did or what happens.
I use the mouse to select the potion I want to buy, then a window pops up asking for how many I want to buy, I thought it was like the Skills window, left click to increase, right to decrease, but when you click on the numbers (of potions to buy) the main shop window takes the click, so I sell whatever is at the bottom of my inventory. Its as if the top window doesn't exist.
I figured out I have to use backspace to change the numbers and then enter the number with the main # keys. A bug maybe?

It is not a bug, on the other hand it may need to be worked on a bit more...

Would it be possible to implement a "buy back" option? I seem to accidentally sell stuff I want too often as well.

I can just honestly say, use the keyboard anytime you are dealing with shops, and make sure you are pressing the correct alphabetical key. I refuse to use the mouse, because it's just not *band to me or TOME as DG wants it to be.

Old habbits die hard, which make me buy the item labeled "s" quite a lot when I need to sell loot in well stocked stores...

I just use the arrow keys and enter to do stuff in the shop. I haven't really screwed up anything that way....

For buying and selling would be nice. I followed the advice in this thread and started using letters to sell rather then the mouse and ended up buying things I didn't need.
