Can I get an alchemist to use spells ?

I've been playing alchemists recently, but on the 'm' menu it only says copy spells and use alchemy. Is there a way to get alchemists to use spells, e.g. manathrust, geyser, without having to create rods or wands ? If there is, then tell me, if not, then I'll stay despairing.

You must put points into a magic school (or prayer if your god allows use to use prayer to cast spells in that school). You get points when you go up a level or you successfully complete a fumblefingers quest.

You will never get an alchemist who can cast all the different spells like a sorceror can. But if you want one particular type of spell that isn't very high level, then it is reasonable.

Since this isn't the Spoilers section, I'll abstain from giving details... But I will say that some gods are probably more useful than others to an Alchemist. Eru in particular might come in very handy, despite his weapons restriction...

Agreed.
