Steam workshop - Addon duplicates instead of updating

So I just tried to post the latest version of the Player AI addon, but Steam keeps making it as a new addon instead of using the existing id. Is this broken forever?
EDIT: It nows appears to be both updating the original posting AND updating the second posting. I don't understand, but I figure if I keep pushing updates and deleting the duplicate I'm fine. I guess? Sure.

For situations like this, you can "edit" your addon page and set the "Steam Publish ID" to pick which one you want to use, since it can get out of sync like this.

Do I just add a property into the init.lua like "steam_id = 24" or suchlike?

No, you go to your addon page on te4.org. Edit the addon entry and there should be a Steam ID field you can change.

Gotcha. That's uploaded (set?) now, so hopefully it won't get confused anymore.

I've had addons get duplicated a few times when uploading to Steam.

Hmm, so when it duplicates, I basically have no recourse but to update the steam ID on the te-4 site, delete the old addon version and keep the duplicate? Cause then everyone subscribed to the old version is no longer subscribed.

I tend to delete the duplicate.

I have
some experience on this matter.

Best practice in my experience is to immediately delete the duplicate and then go back to the te4.org addon page and make sure the Steam Publish ID matches what Steam is saying.

Yeah, putting the workshop ID into the te4 site seems to have fixed it. I had apparently just forgotten to reupload after entering the ID.
