Allied NPCs and Blind Firing

As you may, or may not, be aware, enemies who see the player, and than lose sight of him, will try their best to find him again.

In some cases, if they have aiming spells, they'll randomly cast it around, out of fear I imagine.
Apparently... escorts follow this same logic, if they lose track of enemies.

Due to this, an allied Alchemist escort had managed to hit me with the spell Heat, despite it being a direct target spell, with no projectile.

My issue with this is that this could cause allied npcs to straight up insta-gib the player in bad situations, as they blind fire around.

Would it be possible to add a check for the target being friendly in their blind-firing?

I don't see a huge problem with it. If they're blind, the don't know where you are. Unless I'm missing something.

You might not be talking about the "blind" effect, in which case, I fully agree.

100% has nothing to do with the blind debuff.

Your ally cannot see his target, therefore he randomly targets you, even though he could see you.

That's what you're missing.

That is certainly jarring, if nothing else. I vote in favour of an amendment.
