Alchemist targeting

Is it a design decision to only allow targeting of objects when launching an alchemist bomb? In my opinion it seriously hampers the ability of that class when throwing bombs to only have an enemy as a taget option, due to the nature of the way the explosion happens. Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to choose any tile in LoS?

And while on that subject, it seems to be difficult when resting the Golem. For the player there's a nice "rest till healed or something else happens" function. That doesn't exist for the golem, so I either have to slowly tap the rest for a turn key, or more likely hold it down till he heals, and we all know how easy it is for a stupid death to happen there. Might a "rest pet" function be appropriate here? same function as the player, just for the pet...

On this same note, channel staff won't let you target open space which means you basically can only manually aim it. Makes it hard to target around obstacles, such as golems.

Slightly unrelated, that reminds me of the way freeze works, you can target an empty spot but it wont hit the first monster in the line like flame does. Its the same with reavers' curse of death. It would be nice if those spells did not require you to target the exact location, but work more like the bolt spells (flame).

If they worked like bolt spells they'd hit the first target in line. They do not and that's one of their strengths imo, you can target an annoying monster over a mass of other.
