Jupiter Hell, successor to Doom the Roguelike

Some of you may have played DoomRL, a roguelike going back to 2002 and based on Doom. Well now there's a successor in development called Jupiter Hell, with 3D graphics and an original metal soundtrack, but still remaining a turn-based, traditional roguelike. It's on Kickstarter now, about half funded so far: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20 ... -roguelike

Of particular interest to ToME fans is that I'm Lead Writer for the game. Much of the same layered, multi-sided narrative that went into ToME (I wrote most of the main campaign story pieces, including the controversial Orc Breeding Pits!) will be present in Jupiter Hell. It will also be in the same non-intrusive style so that those that just want to mow through enemies can do so whilst ignoring the story elements.

The Kickstarter ends 13th December. Any support is much appreciated, including spreading the word :)

This means that Jupiter Hell will require an Adult Content tag right? :P

Into the last 2 days, and the game is now 97% funded: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20 ... -roguelike

If you were considering backing then you're time is running out :)

Congratulations on getting the game funded! Just checked in.

I'll note though that they are £6000 from the first stretch goal - and others.

30 hours still to go.
