i won't tell anything about the movie. as far as i can tell it's not yet released where i live either...
however, after seeing the movie, you may cast your vote whenever you want to.

yeah no spoilers plz ... although i have read the books countless times ...
also i am biased when it comes to the LOTR movies ... as peter jackson is from newzealand as am i and the movies are filmed there too.
i would love it if the scene where the ents destroy isengard? is filmed in slow motion !!

Having seen the movie last night, and preparing to see it again tonight, i must say,
fantastic! See ythis movie. A distinct warning though, If you are a Tolkein purist some things may make you made, jus roll with it, enjoy the movie for what it is, not for what the book is.
Ents are very cool, battles are very cool, ah hell, this movie was just really cool!

I was somewhat non-plussed. Without giving anything away, I will express part of my displeasure in a fashion that anyone who saw the movie will understand:
Dwarf.
Surfin' elves.
Fun movie. Lousy film.

I think Peter Jackson did a great job, the Two Towers is a deadly boreing book, but the movie was ok. Not great like the first one, but worth renting.

Gha, you certainly meant:
"The two towers was a great and certainly not boring book, and the movie holds to it"
Didnt you ?
PS: IT RULESS !!
PS2: I want an army of Ents!

i won't say a bad word about LOTR. the only lousy thing about it i ever noticed is the dutch translation and there's no way to blame that on tolkien. i own the english text now and endorse DG's comments.

I've seen The Two Towers two days ago and I found it a bit...

disappointing...

I'd expected it to be even better than the first, but it wasn't... Okay, book two was the least good book of all three so it's not that bad... Peter Jackson did a good job on making a movie like this, anyway...

Oh, well, now I'll just wait for the third (and last) movie...

Why is it that everyone dislikes Book two so much, I found it a much better read then the first, third is still the penultimate. Maybe it is just because I am a war monger or maybe its because I am an medieval history major with an emphasis on anglo-saxon studies, but as much as I love hobbits, I enjoyed the ents and the riders of rohan a lot more than the chapters of wandering in the shire.
Just mine opinion,
yes the second movie was a bit dissapointing but I urge everyone to see it a second time, once you resign yourself to the changes and can get back into the sheer movie itself it is great.
The third movie will be fantastic, I hope, and is awaited eagerly!

despite jackson butchering the character of faramir, i really enjoyed it. the other minor changes from the book were only to make for a better visual and flowing movie.. i really thought it was a great movie based loosely on the first half of the second book.
