I won Angband once with a high-elf mage. I won T-Plus once (ultra-good) with a favored high-elf thaumaturgist). I've never won ToME, but a dunadan swordmaster is getting close. :D

6 winners. One in ToME 1, five in ToME 2.

I was a few squares away from winning Nethack once, too.

One ToME win. Pure luck (both kinds). Haven't even got close to winning another roguelike.

Two wins, both in ToME.

I played Moria and then Vanilla Angband for years without even really getting close. Poor dead Groinlet was the best rogue-like character I ever had prior to playing ToME.

Wait till Lord Dimwit comes around... 14 posted on oook ToME wins, most of them ultra... but Neil's great too.

I personally have 3 ToME wins Also, 2 times pretty close on winning ADOM. Just the big boss wiped the floor with my chars. Though, I'm growing hungry for both of the games. Maybe I'll revive my roguelike-player's spirit and play them. (Morgy & Fisty - here I come, it'll be nice to see you again, soon! )

I have never won. But I feel my actual character is going to make it :-). I have found what I believe to be *The Flaw of ToME", more on this later...

Sadly, zero wins so far (if you don't count wins by cheating or in wizard mode ... and I don't) ... but I could regularily get a character to CL 50 and down below 4000' in Z or Vanilla, and it seems I haven't really lost this ability now in ToME ... and perhaps I'll get one of those chars to survive the last few levels ...

BTW ... does anyone sell idols of Lord Dimwitt ??? Setting it on an altar and praying to him before playing might help winning .....

Zero so far. Also zero characters to level 50, but I think I'm going to make that soon.

I seem to have an incremental approach. I learned the early game, a few times over with different characters. Then the mid-game. My last two landmarks were getting to Mordor, and getting through Moria. Have still not set foot in Angband (well, once to read a scroll of artefact creation...)

I tend to decide that my skill balance is all wrong and I should have done something different, and start another one. Or try a new type after reading someone's day in the life and get caught up in that. I'm torn right now between continuing my thunderlord priest all the way to the bottom of mordor and trying out this new ent monk, and going back to my dunadan necromancer...

Twice in Nethack. Would have been three, but it crashed irrecoverably just before the astral plane.

Once with a hobbit warper in ToME.

Years ago, I got a hobbit mage down to Morgoth in Vanilla (using backups at the time). This was just after the spellbooks all got changed, and all the old spoilers were useless. Hit him with everything I had and could find nothing that would even put a dent in the health bar window. I pretty much gave up on Vanilla after that.

Zero wins so far.

I did get a Vampire Chaos-Warrior to CL50 in Z. She's one heck of a lot of fun to play at 4000 feet, but I haven't revisited her in ages.

So far in ToME, my best characters are a Wood-Elf Loremaster at CL41, and a Wood-Elf Assassin at CL38. (Elsewhere I think I said my assassin was the best; I'd forgotten I'd leveled up my Loremaster.) They both have serious skill-point usage faults, though, so I'm ambivalent about trying to go further with them.

Slappy II is on hold (burnt out) and this new Priest seems terribly lucky, though I'll probably go back to those first two eventually. Plus a few more still hanging around that I can't decide to continue or not....

I got a Dwarf Haftedmaster to level 48 once (http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=1432), and I doubt I'll ever have the patience to have a winner. But my current goal is just to get a character to level 50.

No wins yet, my last good character was killed by Sauron on Mount Doom. I think that counts getting a 1/3 winner :)
