ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Hi , I tried to play tome before as a magic user but i spent as much time with macros so now looking for a more straight forward class which hopefully can eventually complete the game I therefore chose rhohan knight just pure melee, maybe ranged archer if you folks think thats viable?

Anyway I do great until i get to floating eyes then they paralyse lock me. Any information and tactics advice you can give me early and late game how to tackle the dodgy enemys would be greatly appreciated.

Get a lantern and never move diagonally. To kill floating eyes that are in the way, use some type of missile weapon (or throw Iron Spikes or something.)

Change your tactics to coward when you are running around the Barrowdowns. Switch back to berserker when you actually have to fight something.

Once you get Free Action then you are safe. If you see a free action item, use it. Rings, boots, and gloves are common and not very expensive. Many other items also carry free action.
