ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So Im playing a Swordmaster, 98 quests, level 31 princess abductor Kavlax drops Ringil! Joy, I immediately make a dump - game crashes

Restarting game, the game made a save before the crash :relief:

Phew eh?

I got given the Long Sword of the Dawn by a Princess in Mirkwood with my current character.

My first thought was "woohoo!" because I've never had it before.
After a few swings my opinion of it changed somewhat....

Still I guess it can be useful for farming dragons in Erebor or something.

Longsword of the Dawn is one of the big weapons in the game. While it is rather useless when you find it early, its one of the prime bosskillers out there if it doesnt pick up something very nasty on levelling. More damage than Thancs and even Sting, more pleasant to level up than Mormegil, none of the "curses" that come with most other contenders like anti-magic shell or mana drain unless you get unlucky.

But its striktly a swap in, youll need a workable blade for everyday use.
