I can assure you that this build is totally viable and fun.
I went as Ogre, and mostly it's coincedence that I tried it.
Psyshot with sword felt easier in Dark Crypt that some other classes with proper weapon of choice lol.
I did DC with 0 skill points in weapon mastery, just because I forgot about that totally.
Died just because was tired, I'm totally sure you CAN win Insane like that without much efforts.
First you need to build your defence, next you need to max Cloack Gesture and put 3 point in Embedded Restoration system.
I prefer Ogre because it can use two-handed and dagger or something - I used Talos top half, that part that gives +20 crit multilier, and later found mindstar that gave +40 lol, but never bother to equip it.
I think if you a little lucky, you can build 300% crit multiplier, and with comething like Deathblyd it will solve all problem with dps, which this build doesn't have.
The only thing I failed was Melinda because forgor about rocket boots, and one escort in Recknor.

So, I made this https://te4.org/characters/35987/tome/4 ... 46e1e151b4
It's a psyshot - wthout gun, but with mindstars instead.
Actually, I have a feeling, that previous with swords was more powerful, and I have lost the desire to continue.
I know that current mindstars are giving bonuses to physical damage, and other equipment to fire, while mindstars dealing mind damage.
Well... it was good try.
Surprisingly enough - I don't need Psytech Gunnery for successfully winning Dark Crypt - did it with pistols, and even with iron pouch of shots damage from explosive shot depends on level of explosive shot only.
Also, I'm not sure that Mechanical Arms work with dual mindstars, that in psiblades mode.
Can anyone confirm that?
PS At least Mechanical Arms do work.

Cool dude. Was looking for something to do. Did you do Avoidance unlock first?
Re: Psyshot on Isane... without gun.
Yep.
Also, the damage capabilities appears to be not that bad as I though first - it's just you will see this class full power very late - his damage before you get Mechanical Hands and after are two big differences, because they gave like ~50% of whole damage, and even more if there are more then one target.
Was able to do 70 K damage for 20 turns in training room before High Peak.
PS Died in a fight with last two mages... looks like closing portals was a huge mistake. Connection with steam lost very often, so it's not recorded.
