Ubuntu 18,10 where to put ToME 1.5.10 downloaded addons?

The addons that come pre-installed are in /snap/talesofmajeyal/30/game/addons. Notice, that is not in the home folder. I tried changing permissions of this folder but When I stand on the shoulders of giants, this is what they say: "The /snap directory is a read-only squashfs loop device mount point.
Even if you could, anything that you would place there would disappear on shutdown."

Try downloading one from the in-game addon browser and see if you can track down where it places it.

Did you install from a package?
Normally I just download and unzip the thing into my home directory (using kubuntu 18.04). That way it is always in my home directory so there are no problems finding t-engine-linux64-<version>/game/addons
I always unzip the newest one and move the addons I normally use from one directory to another before deleting the previous version too.

You may want try the tar.bz2 version from the main page. Just use tar xf to extract the files. Open the executable, boom! Let's play! And it's free from permission nightmare (depending on where you extract the files)

I switched from Ubuntu to LinuxMint. Easy. ToME is in my home folder. /home/bta/Documents/t-engine4-linux64-1.5.10/game/addons
