just a quick comment on the idea... I myself dig it completely to have a Troll character.
Also Orcs, goblins and such would be nice.
Hope the development is not over! :)

Love the idea of trolls as playable race. Will download and try it out when I next play the game.

Spiral, your thoughts on overpowered add-ons on single player game on my opinion are way off.
The online nature of the game with the chat and leaderboards/character vault effectively turn it into a kind of e-peen measurement contest in which the overpowered add-ons are called cheaters.

Also personally I don't like to play default races/classes after dipping into something that offsets the balance too much.
The races currently in the game I consider roughly equal. Introduce a race called demigod and I'd understand the imbalance.

Been busy with other things unfortunately, so development has stopped, although I do plan to do some stuff eventually - slight rebalancing, a troll unique with an art drop(this was ALMOST finished) and a different starting quest.
If someone wanted to eventually 'adopt' the addon or help with the coding, by the way, I'd consider letting them do that. As I said, I'm not too busy.
However, DO keep posting your thoughts/feedback here, it is appreciated.

This stone troll was immune to everything short of deleting him in cheat mode!

I'll check that next week perhaps - I suspect it's compatibility issues with other addons, also addon wasn't updated to 1.0.5.

At a quick glance, it seems like that specific error is caused by the Trollheart triggers per turn variable not being initialized properly.

I'm playing a 1.0.5 with trolls addon. My problems is with each and every stone troll and mountain troll thunderer I've encountered. The forest trolls I think have been fine so far.

Whenever I try to target a troll I get an error message and it won't shoot at it. I can't AoE damage them either and whenever I get close to them they get endless turns whacking me dead.

I've tried deleting the addon but didn't help, the troll just spawned endless error messages forcing me to force quit the game. I've tried disabling the addon and restarting the game afterwards but new trolls I meet are doing the same.

Wouldn't like to trash my game just cause of few error messages. Would there be anything I could do to enjoy playing my char without the messages? I don't wanna go to Reknor with all the trolls around.

EDIT: My error looks a lit like the one posted up there. Also when I previously mentioned that first trolls were ok, they're not. It must have been that low level trolls were ok but higher level ones caused the errors. I think the first bugged trolls appeared in Daikara.
Maybe they gain a talent around 20 that causes the issue.

That sounds serious :( Sadly I'm not sure how this can be fixed..could you show a screenshot of the error message, assuming it's different from the previous one posted?

Slowly working on updating this.

Other than fixing the fatal errors with Trollheart/higher level trolls, what else? Don't really have the time to add much content like the bosses...

I can make the resistances/saves from Trollbrawn scale with TL like some passives do now, by the way.

Bump again but no release.
Currently rebalanced Trollbrawn to have more reasonable scaling and fixed the fatal Trollheart bug.

Release will still have to wait. By the way, still looking for better talent names.

Edit: also, again, if anyone wants to adopt this or help significantly(maybe with the graphics?)they are welcome.
Also, another thing. With the way passives can be made to 'update' now, I'm tempted to move the regen bonus from level up to talents again, so it can be made to update with mastery. Meaning spending a cat point would boost your regen bonus a bit, too. Thoughts?

You need to adjust the way your racial talent requirements are set, specifically, define them in your own racial file, rather then using the existing set you're calling. As it stands, it creates a conflict with the I500 addon, and causes your racials to have no level requirement.

(It's a simple fix, but still.)

Why would it? In the version I'm working on, I just use Talents.main_env.racial_reqX and it seems to work fine with I500. Weird.
I don't think I500 changes the requirements for racial talents specifically, anyway.

According to Hachem, it's an instantiation issue.

What's happening is the same thing draconians experienced, and your racials won't have there level requirement anymore.

Defining them in there own file and using the definitions set there should solve it. As for why, I have no clue. But trolls + I500 is borking in 1.1.3, the same way draconians was. That change is what fixed it.

It's possible it's a combination of addons messing with it, but when I turned i500 off, and left trolls on, the problem went away...

Best to be safe. Anyway, here's the release.

Change log
- Trollbrawn rebalanced and scales with TL rather than base rank
- Trollheart fatal bug fixed
- Fixed a potential incompatibility with I500

Still very incomplete and rough abut it should NOT cause fatal errors at least.

Anyone has any interest in taking this over, even if only temporarily? I would like to see this developed and updated to fit with all the changes the game has been through in the last months, but I simply don't have the time and inclination at the moment so...
