My best Yeek, and Archmage so far, I thought it appropriate to post an ingame character dump.
After finally clearing the 2 Yeek starter dungeons, Yagga Yagga rescued a mindslayer in some dark tunnels, unlocked said class and proceeded to freeze-burn-thrust-hum-di-dum his way out. On his way to the wizards' town, he was interrupted by tunnels, and screams coming from them. Somewhat later, he emerged from those with a somewhat scorched, but still grateful merchant. (I flameshocked him with the rest of the thieves :D )
Almost home, he bumped into a shady figure in red clothes, and gave the beggar some cheap rings.
As of now, Yagga Yagga stands in the wizard's town, completely broke. The town has some happy shopkeepers though.

Cleared the Trollmire. Nothing exciting there, no vaults. Just a lost Sun Paladin, and Bill giving me a Feathersteel amulet. Level 17 now.
Then, Kor'Pul. No vaults there either, but then, I'm pleasantly surprised by encountering a unique mold on level 3. I didn't know uniques were in the game, first time I encountered one. Killing it got me up to level 18. Killing the Shade didn't gain me a level, but it did drop the Blood of Life. <gulp>

This is starting to look decent. Did the maze. Nothing to worry about there, and the Minotaur gave me Gwai's Warm Fart.
All in all, I made enough cash to buy me the SoD in Angolwen, to replace Kor's Fall.

I'd suggest putting points into CON and go buy the fighting training from the weapon dealer in Last Hope, just to get the Health talent. You're way light on hitpoints for doing the Sandhole.

Cleared the Old Forest, ID ruins, and then entered the dark crypt for my first time ever. It has a name of being a dangerous dungeon, but I have to say, I didn't have any scary moments there at all. Not a single elf resisted my freezing / flameshock stuns. I didn't manage to save the girl though. How on earth is one supposed to save her in time anyways? I was able to kill 2 acolytes, and fire a shot at the third, but then she got sacrificed and I had to put down a silly demon.
Ah well, I can't complain. I didn't fail any quests yet except this one.
I have a gut feeling, this could just become my first character to make it through all introductionary quests, and start the main quest. It would *really* be funny if my first win ever in Tome4 were to be with a Yeek, lol.
Sandworm Lair is next. Indeed, I deliberatly waited with that because of low HP. Usually, it is the first dungeon I do after 2 starting dungeons.
After that, I'm not sure if I should do Daikara first, or start the Storming the City quest in Derth.
Also, which level should I be before attempting the elven ruins with a reasonable chance of survival?

Level 25 now, yay! Also, my backpack is full with craploads of artefacts to sell. I really like the ID ruins, and the dark crypt for that :D

Yay! My first character ever, to complete all starter dungeons. I just killed Rantha, without him even getting a single action against me, and emerged from Daikara at level 30. Unfortunatly, I lost an anothiril escort at level 6 of Daikara, whose reward, a second point in it's song, would have been very welcome.
Also, my first character ever to make it to level 30 :D
I've expanded my offensive arsenal with Ice Storm, and I must say, I like it.
Now, I'm gonna try and locate the woodcutter's quest, and after that, either do the elven ruins, Mark of Spellblaze, or proceed onwards to the main quest.

Well done :) I'd say go tackle Dreadfell next before trying the side-dungeons.

I have to wonder though, why are you wearing the feathersteel amulet when you have only a tiny amount of fatigue otherwise?

Hmm yes. Good question. Mostly, because I lack a nice alternative. I was wearing the Eel-skin armor before, and I guess I put on the Feathersteel around that time. I kinda keep it on in anticipation of finding some nice artefact armor that give some fatigue penalty.

Yee-ha. The Master bit the dust it's previous undead incarnation had crumbled into ;)
Met some orc thieves that seemed to have grown soft. They let me live, the wimps. Ah well. That's some less weight to carry with that staff gone. My backpack is bulging, I can barely carry all those artefacts.
Level 35 now, onwards to the Spellblaze! Still got the Blood of Life flowing through my veins, so I'll take a shot at the Elven ruins after that as well.

Cleared the Spellblaze.
Helped out the Grand Corruptor, unlocked some stuff, but lost my Blood of Life in Zigur.
Skipped the Elven ruins, don't want to take the risk now.
Went on through the next quest dungeon, lost my second extra life (Ring of Death) on level 3 of it, to some elite overpowered demon. Opened the portal, and emerged in the Far East.

If you can find the artifact called Vox (an amulet) that will combat the silencing concern!

The other nasty is Blinding... See if you can up these.

Now is the time for a bigger AoE spell and the obvious candidate is Inferno. I suggest you think about maxing it!

Yes, I was wondering which level 4 spell I should go for next. Thanks for the inferno tip, that cures my doubts.
As for the blinding, my wild infusion does cure that. Are there so many blinding enemies in the dungeons ahead that that won't suffice?

I never used a Wild infusion, preferring to up my Blindness resistance with items of equipment. It's a different style of play and obviously it is working for you right now!

Do the obvious and have a plan B just in case!
