Forcefield+Burning Hex bug

So I've heard talk of this bug, and I think I just experienced it. It permanently changed my max psi pool. My question is: is this something that happens often/commonly? Because it's reasonable likely that you will get burning hexed while forcefield is up at some point in a run, and if so then forcefield just isn't a useable talent in the current game build, since you have an ever present risk of ruining a run with it.

happens everytime you get burning hex'd with forcefield up.

Thanks, good to know. I think I will just not use forcefield then.
