[svn 5726] "Back and there again" quest bugs

After beating Tannen and his golem, I tried using the portal that appears in his tower, but got this error:

This didn't stop the game from continuing though.

After the area transition completed, I was standing on the exit to Last Hope.

I walked back over to Tannen's house and opened the dialog at his place.

The old dialog options popped up to give him the Orb of Many Ways again. I gave it to him again, left last hope and came back in.

Tannen then teleported to me back to his tower a second time. Everything in there was still all killed.

Using the portal in the tower again put me back in Last Hope in the right place this time, but then this error happened after trying to accept the dialog option from the guy who creates the portal:

I exited the game and re-loaded it. Now the guy who makes the portal is just standing there and I can't talk to him. There's no portal back to the East.
