[b18 and previous] Win7 : No saves after saving

After saving and quitting no saves are available in menu. Config options are saving well.

Probable cause : unicode character in username. When using "guest" account problem doesn't occur.

I have exactly the same problem. I use Windows 7 x64 and my user name has a german umlaut in it.
When I save it seems to work, but when I exit and try to load the list of saves is empty.

When I switch to a different account without the "unusual" character in it, saving and loading works fine.

Btw. I tried with b18 and b15 and they both have this bug.
