Beta 4. Fire Imps seem to use their fire bolts only sporadically.
Code:
[LOG]   Quince summons a Fire Imp!
[LOG]   Fire imp hits white worm mass for #aaaaaa#0.00 physical damage#LAST#.
[LOG]   White worm mass hits Quince for #aaaaaa#1.00 physical damage#LAST#.
[LOG]   Fire imp misses white worm mass.
[LOG]   White worm mass hits Quince for #aaaaaa#1.00 physical damage#LAST#.


In addition to what the log shows, they spend a lot of time doing nothing productive at all. They are in line of sight of a monster, but rather than shooting it with fire, they move around. (This obviously doesn't show in the log.)

I did see a Fire Imp use a fire bolt once or twice, but... mostly they're horribly useless.

I actually suspected some sort of vision problem (a theory I came up with some time after posting). Damned near-sighted summonses!

Also, the Hydra had a similar problem. And it's much worse with a Hydra than a Fire Imp, because the Hydra will run around randomly, get behind you, and then try to kill you (along with the monsters).

Did you fix all of them at once, I hope?

Yup all summons and the spell Nature's Call were affected
