rod of recall to outside locked fortress

Defeated guardian several levels ago. "Fortress Shadow asks you to return soon as possible" about a disturbance. But, I'm transported to where the guardian was outside the door and the door is locked. The fortress's current energy is 59.


What now? Defeat and explore everything I left for later... Daikara?

And, everything was reset to unexplored, with more monsters and more loot.

Some sort of bug has forced the area to reset. This locks you out of the fortress. :/

I suggest a (logical) addon to fix this: IF the guardian is gone, AND the Sher'Tul Fortress quest is complete, THEN you can unlock the fortress. I wonder, does this bug remove fortress development this character made?

I think all the flags are still set, but when the area is regenerated, it doesn't look at any of them.

Is there any hope of a fix? Easy, timely fix? If not, best I delete the character and consider my wyrmic options again.

No fix but also no reason to delete the char as the fortress is 100% optional anyway

You could enable dev mode and use the lua console to solve the issue. You also might be able to fix it by spawning the wierdling beast and killing it again. Of course, you'd have to bypass the dev mode save invalidation.
