I didn't see a general discussion thread, only bug threads.

I have been trying things on Normal without addons/dlc to see what is changed. So just a few thoughts so far.

The Adept prodigy is interesting, and pretty powerful if you are using a lot of scaling talents.

Poison seems more powerful but I did have the Adept prodigy at the same time.

The mini-map "view redraw number?" is still not properly working, when you come out of a sub map (hidden vault, intimidating cave, etc.), instead of having the same small mini-map it seems to double in size. So maybe the index number is correct but for some reason going to a full size level doubles the draw size of the mini-map. Cycling through the views always corrects it. (Linux here, not sure if this happens on others.)

I can say for certain that the shops being closed till level 10 may cause serious problems with those classes that are a bit slower to get started. You can no longer find a minor ego weapon or armor that might keep you going, and you definitely are at the mercy of the RNG on getting any better runes or inscriptions. The amount of low level loot can be next to nothing in some levels. With the expanded variety of runes, inscriptions, torques and wands, it makes finding the correct item that will help you in the low levels completely random. Just restricting the shops to T1 and no more than single ego or green items and then adding stock at level 10 would seems like a better option. I wonder how many people will start to forget the agent of the arena due to having to make it to level 10 before shops open.

About the shop, it's now even more difficult to level yeek in insane mode.
And as you leave yeek island before level 10... the starting yeek city is quite useless.

Insane mode again: with some heavy XP penalty class, you often find yourself with Trollmire & Kor'pul cleaned and still under level 10.
So if you didn't loot something "good" you can't even buy some rune/equipment.
I think insane start was better in 1.5 (more gold, 2 level more, shop accessibility).

(the only shop still opened is the one in the Drem starting city. But with 15po, impossible to buy anything anyway.)

Has anyone run into seriously out of depth horrors in the T2 areas? Had a level 15 character run into 4 level 30 elite horrors in the maze and another character run into 3 luminous horrors in the old forest. Both cases, normal adventure mode, and the horrors weren't chest guardians.
