Hi all,

In one of my addons I'ld like to have a metamorph spell, the problem is that I don't really know how to change the character tile and it's a bit hard to guess.
Is it easily possible?
I don't want to redraw a whole bunch of png files, can I use the NPC tiles (for, let's say, a fox) as a character tile, or is it incompatible because we need to build the full doll with how-to-wear-a-cloak and so on?
Is there some example code somewhere where I could see what it should look like?

That depends on whether you want the new tile to reflect the char's equipment or not.

I'm assuming he doesn't because a fox would look pretty silly wearing human equipment.

Both answers would be interesting for future use, if both can be quickly summarised, but indeed right now I don't want the equipment to appear any more (for the talent I'm thinking of, it would not necessarily be a fox but at least it should be some animals)

Yes, you can use npc tiles. Take a look at shivgoroth form in ToME or at the polymorph spell in my module.
