I was looking at an old pre-windows D&D game last weekend and thought this could be added to TOME (although it may have to await Darkgod and the next version).

There was a setting in the configuration pannel that added additional enemies (of a higher level) if you didn't 'clean up the area' before moving onwards.

A little playing (did we really have to deal with that level of pixel size and color limits back then) told me it worked with a 2 base for numbers and a +2 for level.

ie you left three 'enemies' and changed areas, then came back, you would find in addition to those you left alive, eight new ones awaiting your return and all being two levels above yours.

Hmmm.... Something to spice up a area you now find boring.

But how to do it, I don't know.
