All versions Floating point stick after unlocking new talent category

This bug is probably as old as me playing the game, but 7 years for sure.
When you unlock new talent category and have floating points, after confirming changes you sometimes, or always lose floating point.
Is this bug so unfixable it exist for so long?
If you fix it, it will also speed up the game as I stop to remove points, confirm changes and then spreading floating in vain attmepts to prevent this bug.
