Not earning any Steam achievements

I started playing recently and I managed to get the tutorial and the lvl 10 nightmare roguelike achievements.

After my first character death I decided to look into mods.
First I decided to tinker around with Cheat Engine to see what I could get away with since I heard the game constantly changed values. Ended up using someone elses CE table, played around with it until I got bored.
Afterwards, I found out I could enable debug options to give me some classic cheats. I tried it out, felt too powerful and turned debug off by setting it to false.

Now I'm not earning any achievements at all even though I'm doing it all legitimately. The achievements still register in-game but they don't show up on Steam. I've linked my Steam account to the te4.org website to manually have my achievements register to Steam but it's still not working.
Anybody have any ideas? I've gone so far as to reset my achievements on the te4.org website, but that didn't seem to work as well.
