Possessors have to learn to possess different bodies by type, and they start with a stock of three stored bodies. Different Possessor races start with different prelearned Possess options and different bodies in their stock - for Ogre, these are animal, humanoid, and immobile as learned types, and the three bodies they start with in psionic storage are a panther, a shimmering crystal, and a stone troll. What's weird about this is that Ogre Possessors start with a body in their storage, Stone Troll, that they can't actually Possess (because it's Giant-type), so it's a mystery to me how it ended up in there.
Given that:
- most Immobile creatures are terrible hosts because they can't move (Treants excepted, IIRC)
- Crystals in particular are terrible hosts because in addition to the above they have a non-functioning Summon talent
- Ogre PCs are themselves Giant-type, which I think makes them the only Possessor type that could not possess others of their own race
I respectfully suggest that Ogre Possessors lose the Immobile type as a pre-learned Possess host, gain Giant, and start with a bandit or similar host in their store instead of a Shimmering Crystal.
Thank you!
