Insane Bow Sun Paladin Win

I played as bow using sun paladin which means you don't have weapon mastery nor can you use skills in guardian/crusader except for Rightgeous Strength (didn't unlock crusader though) or your basic weapon tree skills. I switched to bow once I got to Last Hope where you can buy the shoot talent and never wielded other weapon again. Edit: well I guess sand mindstar is a weapon!

You basicallly only have shoot and wave of power + invokes from items and wave of power kind of sucks if the base damage of your weapon is zero! Took Vital Shot at 30 for stun/cripple and to at least be able to one shot freaking white drakelings on a weapon class lmao. Saved a tinker escort too but who who needs those right so I didn't unlock tinkers. Celestial/combat tree works a with bow as does the rush tree.

Pros of the build:

Uh you get to be ranged I guess although you don't have any +projectile speed from talents.

Cons of the build

Everything else. You don't have damage and you don't have defences except second life. Basically the only good thing beside that is that you have is invu pot extension and invu pot can be used exactly once. If you didn't figure it out already this was a challenge run and very much not in the "friendly and cuddly challenge run" end of the spectrum. Things got pretty uh "interesting" on many occasions, dfell:9, vor:a and especially the final fight.

Speaking of the final fight. you know what you don't want to happen when you are playing a weak challenge build? Elandar to roll magic classes right? Well he did. I think he had archmage + reaver + rogue/SB. He somehow spawned with just 2 sustains on so I got to disperse EoS at first but after closing the portals it took uh like 1-2 hours or something until this was possible again because he ended up having like nine or ten. At least he didn't roll dispersion lol.

The whole game was played the final fight in mind since I thought invu pot might be needed if things go shit. Turns out I was right, thanks alchemist! BTW you know what you don't want to happen when you do the preparations and use your invu in the final fight? You/elandar being tele'ed away right. Well that happened on this cursed run too. That freaking phase door sound effect will haunt me for some time I think as I watch my character helplessly being tele'ed away from Elandar.

Helped the RNG a bit by making a few mistakes and almost lost faith completely when I lost my BoL. Let's just say taking burning hex in the face isn't wise. I needed to move from the north barrier to the south and back around one million times before I finally got a break and got to fight a sorc 1:1.

But yeah, to summarize, nerfing weapon mastery won't be enough it seems.
