Vital Shot&multiple projectiles

Say you have Shotgonne equipped and fire a Vital Shot. Does it fire one shot or like five?

The answer is: it fires 5 shots, but only the first one is Vital Shot.

How about Gunslinger that shot TWO shots simultaneously?
I remember someone said that both are Vital Shots.
