Chat not working

Was playing and chatting for hours, everything working fine, then darkgod gave everyone the huge gold bonus, and suddenly chat stopped working. Restarted game, verified integrity on steam, restarted computer, still not working. Not sure if this is the case for everyone or not, figured I'd post it here.

It did eventually start working again. I wonder if DarkGod could temporarily suppress all the gold achievements when he gives the gold out. It might be that so many messages at once can overload the system, but it would be a shame if he couldn't give a heap of gold out without overloading the system again. Maybe there could be an addon or hotfix or server-side tweak (maybe just before giving gold out), that upon giving gold out, there is skipping of any gold amount achievements being shown on chat, or only show the first one or something if they all happen within a few seconds?

And it would be good to at least have the pirate skill given out. You can get +2 gold for every 7 or 8 monsters you kill, which does add up. And the "Yaarghhh!" or whatever ability doesn't spam, because every player needs to manually use the skill, instead of it firing immediately on everyone.
