This has been around for a while but I refuse to believe that it is intended behaviour.
When your character gets frozen, your allies turn "hostile" and start attacking the ice block in a misguided attempt to free you.
The only problem is, they more often than not kill you in the process.
Needless to say, this is incredibly frustrating when it happens and just plain silly.
If you get frozen, you have already enough to worry about then getting smashed to bits by your own guys.
Just make them not care about their master's frozen status at all.
Thank you very much.

Re: [1.5.5] Frozen status and rabid summons
Confirming, this is still happening and still so very much annoying. That's especially bad because usually, if you have summons, you are playing a character that isn't very strong in melee (e.g. Alchemist, Necromancer, Summoner, etc.), and being suddenly surrounded by a bunch of strong aggressive creatures while not being able to escape is very dangerous for them, to say the least. Maybe, if that behaviour is not going away, it is possible to make it so that while you are frozen, damage from friendly creatures is focused 100% on iceblock, without reducing health at all?
