I just finished the Embers of Rage campaign on nightmare roguelike with an orc gunslinger and really enjoyed the thorough story, the really engaging characters, and the new classes.

Yeah, I second this.

I just finished a normal adventure run with the gunslinger and it was really a lot of fun. I have won the original campaign with several classes, but this was one of the most fun runs I have had.

Now if I could just get a win with the sawbutcher ....
