Rage class play-through

I want to play through the new Rage expansion but don't want to "breeze" through it. From what I've heard, the sawbutchers are overpowered and the gunslingers are underpowered. Is the Psyshot balanced by anychance?

I just want to avoid playing a class that is going to have heavy changes next patch

Who told you gunslingers were underpowered? They were lying. -80% all resist ain't weak.

I found gunslinger and sawbutcher to be comparatively easy. I've been having some trouble with Psyshot, but it's not unlocked at the start, so you don't have to worry about that for now.

Sawbutchers just got nerfed, so might not be OP anymore.

I have played (attempted is perhaps a better word) several runs with the new campaign and for me the gunslinger was much easier than the (nerfed) sawbutcher. They are both a lot of fun, but having a really powerful ranged character, especially if you pay attention to tinkering, just makes things a bit easier IMO. I ended up winning with my second gunslinger (normal adventure) but I have failed with five sawbutchers so far.
