So... what would you think about an addition of some new stone/earth related trees, in order to make a playable archmage earth-based subclass? Here are basic outlines, of possible two such trees.
Earthshaker tree
Earth Splitter
Form a fissure in the ground on a given path - length 2/3/4/5/6 - fill the path with stone (wall), and remove walls on each adjacent tile. Enemies on the fissure path get massive damage, stun, and are moved sideways into an open spot.
Earthen Ritual
Low cooldown buff. Attempt to daze each adjacent NPC. Next regular attack by the hero will be a guaranteed critical hit.
Echo Call
Passive. Each time any spell is cast, each (or just one random) enemy in a radius of 1/1/2/2/3 can get random gloom-like effect (weakened, confused, etc)
Echo Slam
Each enemy in radius n gets minor damage, then becomes source of same minor damage in radius n/2 around him (can not chain any further)
Spirit of the Earth tree
Kick
Targets: unit in range 1/1/1/2/2
Propels given target away from the caster. Stops at range 2/3/4/5/6 or upon crashing with an obstacle. Damage X. When hitting wall - damage +100%. When hitting living character - 90%-2*size_difference chance to transfer kick (motion + damage, 10% lower chance and damage with each next target) to the target.
Sympathetic Call
Pull target towards caster and attempt to silence+disarm it for 1/1/2/2/3 rounds.
Rolling Boulder
Shapeshift into a massive boulder and roll towards destination. If targetting live character - stop there, X damage and attempt to slow+stun target. If NPCs on the path - force them out of the path (minor damage). If it's impossible, treat them as if they were the intended target. (alternatively - major damage and continue rolling)
Earth Mower
Form an earthen trap, firing very-slow-moving physical damage projectiles at nearby enemies.
(both trees are inspired by Dota heroes)

Re: new Geomancy trees
You'd be better off trying to come up with a whole new class rather than giving archmage these trees. Archmage has, for each element, one low level tree and one high level tree. No need to add 2 more earth trees. Besides, these trees seem VERY close range for a mage. Earthen Ritual also seems nigh useless for a mage.
A little bit of a starters guide written by yours truly here.
Re: new Geomancy trees
The trees seem more suited for the Stone Warden class rather than Archmage to me, still, interesting suggestion.
Re: new Geomancy trees
Archmage already has too many trees(it's kinda ridiculous already), but these would be cool on a new class, or on Stone Warden as was already suggested.
