Corrupted Shell and other farmable prodigies

#1 Post by OrionJAnderson »

I've played a few characters who would have done well with corrupted shell, but none who have qualified. How do I take enough damage to earn it, especially as a magic-type who depends more on shields than on health? (does damage to shields count?)

Also, roll with it. I've never had a character qualify, that I noticed. I probably wouldn't use it if I could, but how would I get it if I wanted it?

get a lot of health restoration and find an enemy which deals some blight damage?
Vitality is always useful to have.

Hmmmm. corrupted shell is blight damage, right?

Wearing the mummy set (both pieces) grants retch and makes you undead. retching, then unequipping one of the set pieces, would lose the undead benefit, and leave you in a puddle of blight-inflicting ooze. Repeat ad nauseum gets farmable blight damage.

Not sure I can come up with anything less exotic. Lava makes an easily farmable source of fire damage. Ruined dungeon orbs can generate extra damage inflicted with bottomless supplies of enemies worth no exp/cash.

not sure what to say about the mummy set, but if you are going for retch, there is an retching ego for a lantern, i think. or maybe was.

Does it count if you absorb the damage with a shield? Is it true that killing the corruptor locks you out even if you destroyed Zigur? Could the next patch split the damage and the zigur destruction into two separate clauses so they go green separately?

Spliting the requirements might be nice, but meeting one won't ruin your chance to meet the other.
