So… how do wards work?

So… how do wards work?

#1 Post by Delmuir »

I'm finally taking steps into playing nightmare and I suppose that means learning how wards work. I honestly have little idea.

My assumption is that they negate all of one elemental damage type for one hit per ward. Is that correct?

That being said, wards annoy me because I don't understand them and they're just another thing to deal with.

Your assumption is correct, as long as by 'hit' you don't mean 'attack'.
Basically, they work the same as Bone Shield, but only against single elements.

What do you mean by differentiating between "hit" and "attack?"

Say you had temporal wards active and someone hit you using a weapon with extra temporal damage on it and Weapon Folding. This attack would cause two hits of temporal damage which would break two wards.
