ARMY of GOLEMS - Adventurer Exploit

#1 Post by xxxbladexxx »

If you start the game as an Adventurer and learn Golemancy first talent but cancel you still get a Golem companion. It is stuck at level 1 and doesn't level up with you and you can't change its stats.

You can change its gear though and make it drop its current spawned gear, allowing for unlimited spawning of battle-axes and mail armor right off the bat.

You can do this multiple times to create a standing army of level 1 Golems that will inevitably get demolished.

You can use this exploit to instantly (in terms of game turns) produce a huge bomb army when you're about to die. If you have Explorer mode then you're peachy.

Maybe if you keep a Category point in reserve and a class talent point in reserve, this is an unofficial "unique" ability of the Adventurer: The ability to spawn an army of level 1 cannon fodder.

This makes early levels for the Adventurer a bit of a cake walk if applied the right way.

adventurers were never supposed to be balanced. seriously, why would you even bother trying balance something that has every talent tree in the game?
try combining weapon of light, with shield of light and the aegis tree. every time you get hit, you get a shield, which grows every time you atack something.
or how about dual combat with corrupted strength?

well, yeah, the golem exploit is one talent combo, but it all come back to the being adventurer right?

why don't we just post some ridiculously overpowered combos in here?
or ho

Combos are supposed to be OP and feel great, not look like a bug.

choosing the right skill, and using them in the right time in the right order, is one thing.
learning and unlearning a skill a hundred times, without even taking a turn, to create an army of lvl1 golem is another.
some things were simply not ment to be, and DG himsself said he don't care about adventurer's balance.
and the "combo" i listed above, i am pretty sure they are not possible in anything else, than adventurer class.

It doesn't feel unfair, it feels glitchy. It's not about balance, it's about game acting silly/unexpectedly.

if nothing else just make the first talent like solipsism / cursed form / etc in that they alter the world in a permanent way and cannot be unlearned once learned.
