Not sure this is a bug or normal behaviour, but I noticed that while doing the quest "Back and there again", I got messages at several points during the quest that the journal had updated and I should check it (at some point in the tower, when killing Tannen, when killing his Drolem, when completing quest) but it never updated the text in the journal past the line "Tannen revealed himself as the vile scum he really is and trapped you in his tower."
This seems weird, as it doesn't change on getting out of his trap, killing him, or even completing the whole quest, enabling the return to the East.
