Saving several times?

Every time i enter the world or the dungeon map it takes ages to save. Usually i get the pop-up window with the progress bar, sometimes that pop-up appears twice, followed by the little yellow save bar just below your HP/Mana bars.

I swear, sometimes saving the game takes longer than clearing a level....
