[1.0.6] Lichform not working in the Arena

With the new patch it seems that the quest requirement for lichform is gone inside the arena so i hurried to try out becoming a Lich. Unfortunately, despite having the talent at level 6 and sustained my daring suicide at the hands of two halfling slingers only resulted in an ignominious permanent death.

Just wondering if this is intended or if I was doing something wrong?

That's odd, as on my necromancers, I still appear to have the quest requirement for Lichdom in my quest log, though I don't see it in the talent description.
